SUPER MAN




Brody is my youngest brother.


He used to play with Thomas the Tank Engine.


Now he plays with Superman.



He said he was flying.
It was so funny. He was on the couch and jumped off.

It is me again.
My mom got presents a few days ago. I am so excited! I want some roller blades,mp3 player,airsoft gun and a good christmas.

Guess what! My friend Shareen is an only child. She just found out that her mom is pregnant!!! She is a big sister now!!!!!!!!!
She is so excited. I am too.

I'm studying Native Americans. This is my latest discovery.

Teepees were designed in the shape of a triangle. They were always in different sizes. Why? I think it's because they didn't have anything to measure with. They could have had something to measure with and just had different size Indians.

Before they had fences, they would dig holes around their land. If an animal fell in, the Indians could eat it. They got it out by using poles with string down the middle, in the shape of a 'U'. They would pull the string and the animal would pop out of the hole. The holes were also used to protect themselves from enemies.

I love running, kick ball, reading and history. I love sweets and sweeties. I love swimming. I actually went swimming today. I did lots of front flips and dives.

We are actually going to Florida on September 11th. We have 11 more days! I love Florida! Last time I got to go to a restauarant that had all of Elvis' songs listed. I wrote them all down in my vacation journal. I got my ears pierced. This year I want to do something really fun. I think I'm going to get a Brat doll, but I don't want the neighbor boys to make fun of me. So that's why I might.

I love writing. I hope that when you read it, you can understand what I'm thinking.

Brody

Brody was born. This time I was old enough to understand what was going on. It was then I realized that I had a real friend.

I taught Brody to scream, laugh, yell and to talk like me. Brody is cool and sweet. His voice is really babyish and cute. He's also very funny. One day, I was still asleep in bed and Brody came to wake me up. He poked me like a bug. Then he climbed on my bed and hugged me. I could hear him breathing in my ear. When he breathed in my ear and snuggled up to me, it made me want to wake up to be with him. He's cuddly like my teddy bear.

I love my other family but Brody comes first. Brody and I are best pals. I love Brody, my brother!

Maggie decided to get creative with her sentences that she had to write with her spelling words. 13 words: ache, bacon,camera, animal, happiness, bedtime, medicine, jelly, meteor, secret, island and history. Here are her sentences:

I love animals because they are bacon. (very true)

Sarah Wilkes is jelly and I will have happiness. (reminds me of a Salvador Dali painting)

I found a secret island.

Terri has a camera.

I take my medicine at bedtime.

The History of Sharp is fun. (originally written without a verb)

There's a meteor!

I whine because I have a headache. (which reminded me of 'I think therefore I am.')

Hi, my name is Maggie and today is my birthday. I am 10 years old. My family and I are very excited because now I'm in the double digits.

For my birthday, I got a very soft pillow from my Aunt Kim and Uncle Scott. They also gave me a Groovy Girl doll that I had been wanting. Ellas gave me a bracelet and ring. He is a generous boy and a good cousin.

Today, I went to the movies with my Mom, brothers, sister and friends. My friends are Shareen and Elise. We went to see Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. It was hysterical. One of the characters in the movie is a scrat. That's a cross between a squirrel and a rat. So funny! At one point, he dies and goes to scrat heaven. There are lots of nuts and clouds. One nut is big and shiny. He does a ballet kind of dance to it. Just as he reaches for it, Sid (another one of the characters) does CPR on him and brings him back to this world. The scrat gets very angry and starts doing Kung Fu on him. We were having a lot of fun and laughs.

After the movie, we had blizzards at the Dairy Queen. They were very tasty. It had over 70 grams of sugar! It was a good treat for us. Shareen, Gracie and I got Oreo Blizzards and Elise got a Reese Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. Brody got an ice cream cone. Ty got a Banana Cream blizzard.

Overall, I had a great birthday cause I got to send to spend it with my family and friends. And my Nana might take me back to see The Shaggy Dog! I bet it's going to be funny.

The Fairies and I

I was wondering in the woods. I found a tiny castle in the bushes. I heard unusual music coming from the cozy palace. I was excited. Following a quiet laugh, I found a music box. Beside it, there was an unusual family dancing in the dim light. The mother had bright blue wings and golden hair. The father collected tiny toys in a large hat. I said to the little girl, "Why are you so tiny?" The adventurous girl answered, "We are fairies."

The family took me to their castle. In it there was a rough-looking old man. He made me small. He gave me wings and then I was one of them. I had golden wings and blue, blushy eyes.

The castle was magical. There was a tiny seahorse in a tank. We ate Turkish Delight with a side of pudding. Inside the castle was a magical city.

Before I knew it, I was home again in my human form. Oh, I wish I could go back there someday.
